Switching to Pure Balance: When you first bring your new companion home or when you change foods, your dog might need a little help getting used to his new food. It is important that the transition takes place gradually to allow your dog to adjust properly. Begin by adding a little of Pure Balance Superfood Blend Trout & Lentils Recipe Food for Dogs to your dog's old food, and for the next 7-10 days, gradually increase the amount of new food while decreasing the old until you have 100% Pure Balanced Superfood Blend Trout & Lentils Recipe Food for Dogs. Feeding Instructions: It's a pure and simple fact that adult dogs have varying activity levels. That's why this simple formula provides the complete and balanced nutrition that your dog needs to help keep him healthy and happy. While these are the recommended feeding ranges for moderately active dogs, you should adjust them as needed to help them maintain their optimum weight. Increase or decrease the serving size according to your dog's size, age, weight, and activity level to maintain optimum body weight. Use the standard chart as a guide. 3-12 lbs: 1/4 to 1 cups per day; 13-25 lbs: 1 to 1-3/4 cups per day; 26-50 lbs: 1-3/4 to 3 cups per day; 51-100 lbs: 3 to 5-1/4 cups per day; 100 lbs +: 5-1/4 cups + per day. + 1/2 cup for every 10 lbs of body weight over 100 lbs. Individual requirements may vary. Amounts are based on a standard 8 ounce dry measuring cup. Weaning Puppies: Start puppies on Pure Balance Superfood Blend Trout & Lentils Recipe Food for Dogs as soon as they begin to chew solid food, usually 3-4 weeks of age. Allow them to eat as much as they want until fully weaned (6-8 weeks of age). Growing Puppies: After weaning, feed 2-3 times the recommended adult amount in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months. Feed pregnant females 1.5 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Feeding lactating females up to 3 times the amount shown for their non-pregnant weight. Food can be moistened to help encourage puppies to start eating solid food. To serve moistened, mix 1 part warm water (not hot) with 2 parts of Pure Balance Superfood Blend Trout & Lentils Recipe Food for Dogs and stir. If you choose to moisten, discard remaining food after 30 minutes to ensure product freshness. Close package tightly between feedings or store in an airtight container to keep product fresh. Remember to provide plenty of fresh water in a clean container at all times. Regular veterinary visits are recommended to ensure your dog's good health.
