Installed in a fresh build 406. They adjust with just a 1/4 turn preload. Engine ran great all summer last year (2,000 miles worth). All rockers were backed off at the end of the year to sit over the winter so there is no unnecessary stress on valve train sitting for 6 months. Went to adjust and found a handful of lifters that have collapsed. Tried priming the engine oil and same result. I'm willing to repair or replace these lifters, but Comp customer service and tech support is extremely difficult to get a hold of... all I want it the kit to repair the lifter cartridge. I can't find the kit on any web site, Summit and Jegs has told me to call Comp. Finally got a hold of tech and they said there is no rebuild kit available for this lifter. I feel like I bought $800 of 1 dollar worth of scrap weight.
