PORTER CABLE 20-Volt Max Lithium-Ion 8 Tool Combo Kit, PCCK619L8 I love this set the kit includes 8 tools. Drill Driver which may be my go-to tool, an Oscillating Multi-Tool I need more practice with it, I was somewhat awkward using for me. It also comes with a very nice Pivoting LED Flashlight. I like the Impact Driver, Cut-off tool grinder a must for those old nails etc. and 3 Saw's (Circular, Reciprocating Tiger Saw and JigSaw) they all work as expected. This set also comes with a battery and charger and Kit bags. This is a power pack kit that delivers performance for all your projects. Lightweight and compact tools are what I like most about this kit. I think this 8 tool combo kit can be of value to your projects around the house or otherwise. I felt empowered and comfortable with most of the tools in this kit. I still have to get more comfortable using most of the tools in this kit. I look forward to using in my spring projects. I like the idea of making my own DIY natural wooden plant pots for my very large house plants and maybe an herb garden plant box as well.

I love this set because it is battery operated. The battery packs do not add substantial weight to each tool over a normal tool's weight, but they get rid of the cord. Being someone who knows how to properly use power tools, but only uses them on an occasional basis, I have always hated the cord getting in the way, whether because the cord is too short, at the wrong angle to cut safely, or catching on the edge of the wood I am dealing with. There are two battery packs with this set, one small and one large, but each is interchangeable with the other one and both work with all the tools. It is a matter of how long you are planning on using the tool, and how much power you are trying to pull at a time. I am thinking that this set will mostly appeal to hobby shop tinkerers (like me) and probably not professionals, unless you also get more batteries (which you can buy separately). Several of the tools have hand-set blades, so you will not have to worry about the small tools you need to attach blades to like with some older saws. The table (circular) saw has an adjustable shoe so that the cutting depth of the blade is correct, and you can make cuts up to 90 degrees from the shoe. The jigsaw's shoe also has an adjustable angle so that you can cut at up to 45 degrees. The tiger (reciprocating) saw is prefect for jobs like trimming small branches and other less precise work, and you are unhindered by the length of a cord. The drill does not come with any bits (except a screwdriver bit), but it does take standard bits. The same applies to the impact driver, but socket bits are easy to find (if you don't already own some). I have not had time to use the grinder, but it looks pretty simple and straightforward to use. There are also thoughtful extras with this set, like two tool bags for storage, sandpaper for the oscillator, and a spotlight to make sure your work area is nice and bright.
