These are ceiling fan frosted lamp bulbs LED and 5W, which is a 40W equivalent in an older style bulb. It has the intermediate size base. The color is nice and soft with the frosted feature. The estimated energy cost is only 60 cents a year! Yes, a year! The bulb claims to last 13 years, so we will be waiting and seeing how that goes. The brightness is 150 lumens. We are happy with these bulbs, knowing we are saving energy costs and that they are so much more long lasting than the old fashioned bulbs.

LED Light Bulb technology has come a long way and every day the industry is releasing new smaller light bulbs to replace florescent or incandescent bulbs. I got these Great Value A15 Ceiling Fan Frosted Light Bulbs to replace the incandescent bulbs that generate a lot of heat which makes the room feel hotter especially during the summer months. The A15 Ceiling Fan Light bulbs are bright and give off a soft light. They never get hot and are cool to the touch. However, the base does generate heat from the electronics but it's nowhere close to the heat that is generated from an equivalent incandescent light bulb. The energy usage is also very low compared to the light the bulb gives off. The LED bulbs are light in weight but the balance of the fan is not impacted. Overall, the Great Value LED Fan Light Bulbs meets my expectations.
