Elite Guardians Without Warning, Book 2, (Paperback)

The moment I picked up this book I knew I was in for a treat. I also knew that it was going to incredibly hard to put down. I was not disappointed. Lynette Eason is absolutely one of my favorite authors. She made me laugh, cry, and hold my breath. Without Warning is the second book in the Elite Guardians Series. You don't have to read book one in order to love this book. That being said, you are missing out in a great story and getting to know these amazing ladies more. This book follows Katie Singleton who is one of the team members in the Elite Guardians. Katie is a complicated woman. She has gone through a lot in her life and being a part of the Elite Guardians has given her a purpose. When she comes across a crime scene at a restaurant she is familiar with her curiously gets the best of her. The owner of the restaurant Daniel Matthews has angered someone, and they aren't playing nice. Katie feels drawn to help Daniel, even if he doesn't feel he needs it. He has always been a man who can take care of himself, and doesn't see why he needs a bodyguard. But when his niece becomes worried and asks him to hire the Guardians, he can't say no to her. Weird stuff keeps happening, and it doesn't seem like there is an end in sight. Can they figure out who's after them before it's too late? I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys romantic suspense. Eason kept me on my toes and had me turning pages when I should have been in bed. I loved getting to know the characters and seeing their relationships grow. Their faith was woven throughout the story and I enjoyed seeing how each of them viewed God.
