Designed for big baits and hard pulling fish, the ambassadeur Beast utilizes a machined aluminum frame and sideplate for strength. USA AND CANADA: Abu Garcia reels are covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase and rods for three (3) years from date of purchase.
FOR USA AND CANADA ONLY "LIMITED WARRANTY" This "limited warranty" has been drafted to comply with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act which is effective for goods manufactured on or after December 31, 1976. For the period indicated, Abu Garcia will, at its option, repair or replace and return the covered items found to be defective in material or workmanship at no charge except for shipping cost. Abu Garcia will have no other obligation and will not be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Abu Garcia makes no implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any period beyond the stated duration of each Limited Warranty. This Warranty does not cover damage by addition or alteration of the product, accidental damage or loss, abuse, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance or normal expected wear. Damage that is determined to be of this nature will be repaired at consumer's expense. This Warranty does not extend to products which are put to commercial or rental use.
This Warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the reel, and does not give any rights to any other person. Some states do not allow exclusions of incidental or consequential damages or limitations of the duration implied warranties, so the above exclusion and limitation may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may have other rights which vary from state to state. Do not send cash or checks to cover the cost of repair for products on which the Limited Warranty period has expired. Abu Garcia's Authorized Repair Centers will notify you of the amount due, including handling and shipping charges. Wholesalers and dealers (unless an Abu Garcia Authorized Center) are not authorized to make in-warranty repairs or adjustments on behalf of Abu Garcia. The terms of the Warranty cannot be changed except in writing by an officer of Abu Garcia. Abu Garcia rods or reels requiring warranty repair should NOT be returned to the store of purchase.

I've been wanting to buy this reel for over a year, finally ordered one, I'm glad I did. It has quality unlike any round reel I've ever used, & I have almost (50) different round ABU reels. the machined aluminum frame makes it very light, the bearings have very tight tolerance, it is super smooth! The oversized handle is unique & make me not want to wait to use it. I cannot wait to use for casting & trolling large lures for pike & muskies!!

A true tool for pike fisher.
Man, i just love this reel. I have the 5501 beast paired with Svarzonker signatur up to 220gr, and they do make a perfect match! Handles my bigger pike lures like a charm, simple to use, with no unneeded extras, like mag brake(imo no point with hevier lures). Good casting and smooooth action. The handle is just the right lenght for the relatively slow gear ratio, and awesome in hand. Bigger challenge i have set for this reel was 111cm/10.0kg warm water pike, and it handled it with ease, cranking was easy even under heavy load and drag functioned well. I used to have revo toro beast 51 in this heavy setup, but ended up putting it to my lighter pike setup, since i wanted more "tool like" reel. If you like fancy funktions, extras and lot of adjustment, this reel is not for you. But if you want a reliable, easy to use, extremely high quality work horse, you can't go wrong with this! It is a bit pricy, but you get what you pay for!

Purchased early March for Muskie fishing. Its very smooth and able to cast a long ways with my heavy lures. Have a ambassador but this reel beats it hands down, love it. Now just have to catch my first Muskie for the season. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
