So Much Building fun for Girls!
This is such a fun set for little girls to enjoy! Actually, my little boys have been enjoying it too - shhhh - they don't want people to know they like something "girly." But seriously it is so nice to see things that involve building that aren't just blocks or things for boys! It's about time! The Learning Resources Sweet Shop Building Set is perfect for my six year old little girl. She loves to build and she loves sweets! The set has 82 pieces which is a good amount but not too much. It comes with fun stickers as well so that they can design their set. As I have discovered with all Learning Resources products we have tried, this set is really well made. I wasn't sure how well the gears would actually work but they turn amazingly well! Even though this set is designed for PreK+, it has withstood my rough and tumble toddler who loves to watch those gears spin! He bangs on them and they hold on pretty well! I love all the vibrant colors and watching the wheels turn in my daughters mine as she designed and put them together. She has asked to do this together several times. Once we opened the box I realized a bunch of pieces were missing and I discovered them in her play kitchen! She loves the little cupcakes and ice creams and so they double between this building set and playtime in her kitchen. I love things that have more then one use. Little girls love to build and play as much as boys do so it's really encouraging to find sets like the Sweet Shop Building Set that they can enjoy!
