1. Does this breaker lockout device work with older circuit breakers?
Our breaker locks can fit a range of circuit breakers, both old and new models, depending on the width and thickness of the toggles. This lock out breaker can secure 2-3/4" wide by 1" thick breaker toggles.
2. Will this fit single, double, or multi-pole circuit breakers?
This breaker LOTO is designed for single and multi-pole breakers with 2-3/4" width x 1" thick toggles.
3. Can the circuit breaker be locked in the ON position using this lockout?
Although it depends primarily on the design of the circuit breaker and is not generally advised for safety reasons, our circuit breaker lockout device can secure a circuit breaker either on the ON or OFF position.
4. Can the breaker panel door be closed even when these lockouts are applied?
Generally, yes. But that depends if there’s enough space between the panel door and the switches.
5. How to ensure no one accidentally removes these breaker lockouts once installed?
TRADESAFE circuit breaker locks come with padlock holes so that LOTO locks can be easily affixed to them for security. Our lockout tagout locks are available in eight colors: red, green, blue, yellow, orange, purple, white, and black - sold separately.

Our circuit breaker lock is developed and tested to comply with OSHA Standard for Lockout Tagout (29 CFR 1910.147). Also available in 120/277 Volt and 480/600 Volt.
