I have to say there isn't much good to say about this lift. I had to elongate the holes on the bottom of the jack because the welded pipe on the jack did not allow the bolts to go thru, it was welded in the wrong position and the bolts wouldn't line up, so the only thing I could do was slot/elongate the holes on the bottom of the jack post.
Once together, the jack does not spin easily and freely, so I took it apart after greasing the external grease zerk did nothing for making it easer to spin the jack %26 lift the snowmobile. I greased the threads liberally. Still my 1/2" 18V Makita cordless drill will not spin and lift the snowmobile easily, and the same drill effortlessly lifts the same machine on my old Rec-Lift brand lift. I've check the tightness of the frame bolts and even loosened them a slight bit, but the problem prevails. The jack even stops my drill while lowering the jack, which is crazy. Forget about turning it by hand, I have a bad arm and there's no way I can do it on this Extreme lift, but again, I can lift and jack my old Rec-Lift easily by hand cranking.
The Extreme Max frame is flimsy and flex's like the metal its made of is weak thin. It does not roll and push easily whatsoever either, I've greased and oiled the wheels, and I literally struggle to move the sled on the wheels, I have to ask for help, it takes two people to move with a machine on the stand. The bolts are loose and wheels roll without a machine on the lift, but still it takes two people to move the lift with a sled on the wheels! My old Rec-Lift brand lift moves effortlessly with one person anywhere very easily. I don't know what to say about this Extreme Max brand, China built flimsy lift, other than its a absolute disappointment in every regard. I don't believe without a complete re-design of the flimsy frame, better castors and a different jack how its going to be usable. Truly a waste of effort this lift has been. I'm not happy and don't understand how it can continue to be sold as it is it's really a poor product compared to my old Rec-Lift.
The Mfgr sent a different jack and different wheels that did not help one bit. I've already wasted a huge amount of time on it and am beyond the time to return it by just days. I should have returned right away. POOR quality made overseas lift. I'm going to need to modify it tremendously if it stand a chance of working unless on a very lightweight machine. Rec-Lift is not in business anymore or I'd certainly done another one of them.
