The only running shoes I will ever wear

Mizunos are the only running shoes I wear. I usually have 1-2 pairs of Wave Inspires (for outdoor running, especially on concrete) and 1 pair of Catalysts (for lower impact gym workouts). I overpronate quite a bit, and the Inspires are the only shoes I've found that protect my knees and ankles enough for long outdoor runs. All of the Inspire models I've owned have incredibly supportive cushion, especially around the heel, and feel like I am running on a cloud. I am bothered by loose toe boxes, and the Inspires give me a comfortable amount of space without making my toes feel like they're swimming around. These 13s are very similar to the model 11s (I skipped 12). I haven't noticed any significant differences, except perhaps that the 13's heel collar seems to come up a tiny bit higher than in earlier models. Some reviewers have complained about the new mesh material on the upper. I will say that fresh out of the box when the material is crisp it does *sound* a bit "plastic-y" or "crinkly" when you first slip them on, but the material certainly doesn't *feel* stiff or coarse in any way. I can't really tell the difference as far as the feel of the material on my foot, but the look and crunchy noises the shoes make when they are brand new might seem a little odd at first. I do very much prefer the more substantial reinforced parts on the model 11-13's uppers to the model 10's. The model 10 had a minimalist upper that felt too flimsy, and I wore holes around my toes pretty quickly. All in all the 13s are a sturdy, reliable, very comfortable shoe.

Great shoe

I have been wearing the mizuno wave inspire since the #8 model. I have a regular/narrow fit and was sized for a 8 or 8.5 for running (normally wear 7.5). The 8 regular is a good fit. The shoe is comfortable, and allows the extra room without being too loose (though I might try an 8 or 8.5 narrow for more snug feeling.) I use for gym workouts 3-4 days/week, and light jogging (1-2 miles on their outdoor trail/track) once or twice a week. Usually replace every 6-8 months. Bought the red (Barbados/cherry) and I love the color (feels like I'm wearing ruby slippers); I'd happily purchase the black again (my normal color preference) if it is available in a better combo than this season's black/orange.

Great comfortable shoes

I was looking for new shoes to wear during my workout. I have been using Asics for many years because I have ankle injuries and always look for great ankle support shoes and Asics have the gel shoes that work perfectly on my feet and ankle. It was time to buy a new pair so I started doing a bit more research. I read the previous reviews on this one and saw that it had great ankle support and was light which were the most important two criteria that I look for. I've had the shoes for about a month now. The first time I wore it, I was a bit worried coz it felt a bit more roomy in the toes area. But the second time I did, it felt great. I wear them to run on the streets or in the track mainly, I still use Asics for gym workouts but I might switch to this one very soon. Great support, great grip, very comfortable fit ( Asics sometimes hurt the toes depending on the workout. I have not had this problem with this pair). They are super light too. Definitely recommend them. I run 2-3 miles 6-7 days a week.
