What an awesome cooler!! Put 4 bags of ice in this cooler and all of our groceries for the Memorial Day Weekend. After 5 days of camping we still had 4 bags 3/4 full thst we were able to dump on our trees and bushes when we got home Monday afternoon. Can go wrong.
Ive used arge coolers on extended desert rafting trips where the temperatures are above 100 degrees for 5-6 days for more than 20 years. . Lifetime coolers hold ice as well as the best roto-molded brand, no question there. The difference has been durability. Standing on lifetime coolers, one could feel the lid sag and deform, causing the cooler not to seal as well. This cooler seems to have resolved that. I weight 190 pounds and standing on it there is no perceptible sag. Quart-for-quart, this is about $300-500 less than a roto-molded cooler. Ive been waiting for a cooler like this for 20 years. These are also lighter than root-molded, and the latch mechanism is more durable than most of them which use a rubber latch that crack over time.
