Great Combo

First time using a conventional reel. Very happy with the results, I got some minor birds nests at first until I fine tuned the reel to my casting skills, after that though it worked flawless. Very satisfied with overall quality of combo. Good work Penn!

Suprisingly versatile

I bought the 8 ft 4in combo recently and had my doubts about it's durability. I soon discovered how powerful these rods really are when I locked onto a 15 lb cod while wreck fishing in the North Sea . The curve of the rod is progressive , so don't be fooled by the ultra slim tip and the reel had more than enough power cope . I would highly recommend the Warfare range as dependable and solidly built.

ease of use and care

Bought my first heavy duty Penn and just love how easy it is to use and care for. Caught some small keepers and barely noticed they were there. Still waiting to hook up a whopper and let the Penn loose on it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
