Great saltwater pliers!
I'm a prairie boy who fly fishes in saltwater at least once year. I've done in several pliers doing this. Just got these great Penn parallel jaw pliers for a couple of forthcoming trips & can see by their quality they will be around for years. Tried them out on heavy mono & s/s wire leader and they cut it like butter. Appear very durable & useful and I'm gonna be very happy.

Functional Tool
This is a new product, so it looks like I'm the first reviewer. I just received these pliers in the mail today, and although I have not used them in an actual fishing environment; I can say that I am very impressed with the quality of the pliers. They are solidly made and have a good feel in your hand. The jaws are spring loaded, so they open as soon as you remove them from the included case, ready to work. There is also a line and leader cutter and a crimper for making wire leaders. The jaws are etched and operate parallel throughout their full range of motion, so you have a good grip on whatever you're trying to hold. There is also a stretchy lanyard so you don't have to worry about dropping them over the side of the boat or pier. Overall a quality product that I believe will give me many years of service. I will review again after I have used them in an actual fishing situation a few times.
