F-16CJ FALCON WILD WEASEL

Developed by General Dynamics as a multirole fighter aircraft, the F-16C Fighting Falcon stemmed from the US Air Force's need for a lightweight fighter, as the F-15 Eagles proved to be too expensive for mass production. After a fly-off competition between prototypes (YF-16 and YF-17), the former bagged the role and the NATO countries of the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, and Denmark chose the Fighting Falcon to be their official fighter aircraft. Designed with a frameless bubble canopy, the F-16 allowed improved pilot visibility, thanks to its 360-degree view. Reclined seats for the aircraft reduced G-force effects on the pilot were another innovation for the plane. Known for its excellent maneuverability and supersonic speed, the single-engine Fighting Falcon was nicknamed "Viper" by its pilots. This handcrafted model is painted in the same paint scheme as the original and is painstakingly built from Philippine mahogany by our skilled craftsmen.
