Its output when using an 18650 battery is 830 lumens on high, with a run time of 1h 45 min; 320 lumens on medium, with a run time of 3h; and 4 lumens on the low setting, with a run time of 150h. For CR123A batteries, the high output is also 830 lumens and the run time is 1h 30 min; the medium output is 320 lumens and the run time is 3h; the low output is 4 lumens and the run time is 60h. Its body's major material is a hard-anodized aluminum alloy and it has a CREE XM-L2 U3 LED lens. This is billed as an "explosion-proof flashlight," since it has a Type II non-mine explosion-proof electrical appliance; is Class D explosion suppressive; and has a 10mm epoxy resin explosion-suppressive optical lens. The smooth (SMO) reflector is manufactured with "precision digital optics technology." This flashlight comes with the option of employing one 18650 lithium-ion battery or two CR123A batteries as a power source, but these are not included. The EF1 also has an impact resistance of 1.5m, a peak beam distance of 270m, a peak beam intensity/candela rate of 18300cd, and an IP rating of IP67. The EF1 also has Advanced Temperature Regulation (ATR) technology that changes the flashlight's output in keeping with the light's temperature.
