Rust-Oleum Triple Thick Polyurethane is three times thicker than a traditional polyurethane. It is an advanced self-leveling formula that allows projects to be completed in one coat. This water-based formula provides excellent scratch and stain resistance. It also provides fast dry times as well as the convenience of soap and water clean-up. It is suitable for use on all interior wood surfaces including furniture, doors, trim and more.

Instructions
. Refurbishing: Existing fininshed wood may be refurbished without complete removal of previous coating. After using furniture polishes for many years, wood can absorb contaminants that interfere with Rust-Oleum Triple Thick Polyurethane. The surface must be free from wax, silicones, oils or other contaminates, thoroughly cleaned and abraded before applying Rust-Oleum Triple Thick Polyurethane. Surface Prep For Bare Wood:. 1. Surface must be clean, dry, free from wax, grease and dust. 2. Sand area smooth, progressing with sandpaper 120 to 220 grit. 3. Vacuum surface to remove dust. 4. Wipe surface with clean, lint-free cloth. Application Over Stained Wood: Appy Rust-Oleum Triple Thick Polyurethane directly over cured stain. Test a sample for product compatibility. For best results, use Rust-Oleum Wood Stain. Application: Stir before using or if product has been sitting longer than an hour. Do not shake. For best results, use at temperatures between 60°F - 90°F. 1. Apply using a high quality synthetic bristle brush. Apply in the direction of the wood grain in a smooth uniform coat. If refinishing a large area, work in manageable sections and blend sections together whilr Triple Thick is still wet. If refreshing a previously coated surface or a second coat is desired, sand with 220 grit sandpaper. allow approximately 2 hours to dry to touch. Dry times will be extended in high humidity. Allow 48 hours to cure before moderate use of project. Allow 7 days for total cure of project. Coverage: 50 sq ft/quart

I love this stuff! --- read the directions.
I wanted a water based polyurethane to use with my airbrushes. It thins nicely with 50% water and leaves a nice glossy coat over my artwork. Needs to be applied in thick coats, even with the airbrush. This is way better than Minwax Polycrylic if you want a water based clear coat. Definitely requires a different brush technique than regular polyurethane. Read the directions and lay it on thick.

It Helps to read the directions..... smh
Some people have found that this product leaves brush strokes are doesn't cover well and looks tacky..... Well...... If you read and follow the directions (go figure), It explains to apply the product generously. If you do as the directions state (apply it thick), your finished product will look fantastic. I apply this once a year to my countertops at my business to keep the look fresh. It wears very well. My countertops get a lot of abuse and traffic and the product holds up great! Just follow the directions and this product will more than pay for itself.
