Great Romantic Suspense!

What happens when a young woman is found slumped over the steering wheel of a car that looks like a shooting target and she doesn't know who she is? What if the Deputy that finds her is the man that she deserted right before their wedding? Will he be willing to forget his deep hurt so that he can protect her as he helps her remember her past? Author Virginia Vaughan tackles the subject of amnesia in this new book but she also throws identical twins into the mix and suddenly, Deputy Lawson Avery and his family are uncertain who is really staying at their ranch. Are they protecting Ashlee Taylor or could it be her twin Bree? And if it's Bree, then where in the world is Ashlee? This is the first book in the Cowboy Lawmen series and Vaughan has written a fast-paced story filled with twists and turns, memorable characters, and a reminder that we all deserve forgiveness and a second chance. I recommend Texas Twin Abduction to all who enjoy Christian romantic suspense and I look forward to the next book in the series! I received a copy of this book from the author and Celebrate Lit. There was no obligation for a favorable review. These are my own opinions.

She can't remember him...but he remembers her...

Whoa! What a wild ride! I've read a few of Virginia Vaughan's previous Love Inspired Suspense titles, so, I know to expect the unexpected from her. And if there's one book to expect the unexpected, it's Texas Twin Abduction. I was kept riveted to the page right from page one. I mean, what else can you be when the story starts off with the aftermath of gunfire, an ex-girlfriend's reappearance, and a lot of missing memory? I will confess that, while I did see one big switch-on-a-switch coming, it was still no less startling when it did. I'm a definite fan of Virginia Vaughan, her stories are a little on the grittier side of Love Inspired Suspense, which is what I love about them. Texas Twin Abduction is a great example of her page-turner romantic suspense. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next Cowboy Lawmen book... (I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)

Which Twin Is It?

The first installment in this new series is action packed and lacks nothing for suspense fans. I was intrigued by the title because I have always thought twins were fascinating. Bree and Ashlee are identical twins but one wanders off into the world where danger awaits. The opening pages set the stage for a story filled with drug dealers, secrets and a bit of romance. I wasnt sure at first if I would like the storyline of one of the twins having amnesia but the author plots the story in a way that captures mystery and questions that kept me reading. It is a fast read but dont be fooled by that. It is packed with characters that I wanted to know more about. I cant say much about the story because I cant give anything away. The author threw in a few twists that I didnt see coming. Im pretty good at guessing plots, but this one took me by surprise. Lawson adds an element of knight in shining armor as he lays aside the past. The faith element is just enough that it is not preachy but definitely shows how someone can change when they give their life to Jesus. Lawson is determined to find out what is going on and why his ex fiancée is involved. I loved , loved, loved the way the author shows us through a character that God is a God of second chances. I hope the author is hard at work on the next book in this exciting series. I received a copy of this book from Celebrate Lit.
