Lasted for about a year and a half!!!

This heating element lasted only a year and a half for us!! I replaced it back in 2018 and it broke again!! We're on our second one! Third including the brand new with the dishwasher! The problem with the heating element is not the element itself but the copper part that covers that holds the rubber to make a seal so water wouldn't leak. Sadly this copper failing caused damaged to my cabinets as well. I attached the photo showing the rubber seal on the element with the copper all missing, unfortunately you don't inspect this all the time and the only notification that the copper is gone is when it gets your socks wet in the morning co'z there's water all over the floor! This will be the last GE I'm buying!

    Heating Element went out

Purchased a home in 2016 and the builder purchased GE appliances as part of the kitchen package. The GE dishwasher model GDT580SSF8SS went out in 2018. The thing is I barely used my dishwasher. Now my GE refrigerator is starting to make weird noises from the ice maker. I don't think I will be purchasing anymore GE appliances.

    Lasted less than 1 year

We had to buy a new element for our GE dishwasher that was <4 years old. Replaced with this recommended part. It has blown again and we need to re-order for a second time in less than 1 year. I have reached out to GE to see if there is a limited product warranty, hopefully we just got a lemon.... Not pleased with our GE products in our home.
