Relation of some gene polymorphisms with metabolic syndrome in women (Paperback)

Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of biochemical and physiological abnormalities associated with the development of cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in women appears to be increasing, particularly in those of childbearing age. This study aimed to investiagte the poosible relation of five polymorphisms (pre-miRNA-146a rs2910164, MPO -463G/A rs2333227, apelin rs2235306, chemerin rs17173608 and vaspin rs2236242) with metabolic syndrome in Egyptian women.
