Although it is difficult to be objective with eye creams after using for just a few weeks, I'd say that I can see a slight improvement in dark circles and firmness around the eye area. (Some products should be allowed a longer time before reviewing, such as this one and others like teeth whitening products.) One thing I would caution users of this product about is not to rub your eyes or get the product anywhere near your eyes, as it appears to be very potent. I experienced a burning sensation when I accidentally rubbed my eyes after using this product. I realize care should be taken when using any eye product, but I think because this particular product is possibly very concentrated, a little extra care is necessary.

The brand L’oreal inspires confidence and expectation, just based on reputation. The instructions for use of this balm stipulate that it be applied to “cleansed” eyes twice daily. It is to be applied in the morning and at night. Being anxious to start seeing results, I began using the balm as soon as I got it home. The jar seems small in size, and therefore causes apprehension relative to the volume of product contained therein. The product consistency is very soft and smooth. It takes a very small amount to more than adequately cover the area of both eyes. The moisture makes the skin noticeably more comfortable with even the first application. The eye area feels surprisingly at ease, although it was not remarkably uncomfortable before using the balm. However, there is a noticeable difference in the skin feel after using the balm versus before beginning the use. The visual improvement is not instantaneous, but the gradual difference is discernable. My under-eye puffiness is lessening. After applying makeup, the puffiness reduction sort of lifts your spirits. I have only been using the eye balm for about a week and a half, but this is a product that I will be using for the foreseeable future. As time progresses, I expect the improvement to get progressively greater. I know it’s not the magic fountain of youth, but it certainly slows the evidence of aging. I would enthusiastically recommend this product for ladies, as we refine like fine wine.
