Product details
Ideal for the crafter or as a replacement clockworks in many clocks today, this reliable quartz mechanism, made by Takane, is simple to install. This kit includes a pair of stamped metal classic style hands that are satin black. Hour hand is 2-1/2"L and minute hand 3-1/2"L. The threaded mounting shaft measures 7/16 inches long and, because of the addition of hardware when you mount it, will require that the thickness of your clock case be no more than 5/16 inches. The diameter of the shaft is 5/16 inches and will require a slightly larger hole in your clock case so the shaft will slide through. Everything is included in this package: the clock, a pair of hands (see image) mounting hardware and hanger. The movement takes an AA battery (not included) and will run for over a year without attention. There is an on-off switch on the back and a simple time- setting wheel. The movement measures a compact 2-1/8 inches square and the sturdy plastic case, not including the shaft, is only 9/16 inches thick. For replacement purposes, if you are reusing your old clock hands please note that the minute hand should be no longer than 6 inches. Illustrated installation instructions are included.
