Actually not only protects hair from heat damage it leaves hair health as when you were a child !! I only use a small amount thoughout the hair let it dry then add my other products..then heat salt .. I notice it helps keep the hair style in place for a few days too !!!

I love this product, my complaint is that I brought two of them from Walmart and one of the bottles had totally opened in shipping(the cap was loose) and there was just a drop of product left. I tried to find out how to report this or return it and it was very difficult to do so. I think I will stick with Amazon as returns are easy.
