Black Diamond Men's Guide Glove, X-Large, Black, Size X-Large

I've had the guide gloves 3 different times over the course of the last 17 years. Always satisfied w the quality, waterproofing and warmth. I find that my hands do get cold (skiing) when temps drop below 20° though. They are rated for colder temps. When this happens I prefer mittens and have a pair of BD ones that do the trick. I've found that a pair will last a couple of ski seasons of 45 - 60+ days. I've applied the nix wax (always included) usually late in the first season or early in the second. I've noticed a couple of “build” changes over the years, for the better. Also, of note: even though the sizing chart recommends I get the medium, I've found I need a large. The medium is snug. I'll sometimes also use a liner, which helps on colder days and the large facilitates that. Good solid gloves that I keep coming back to. Have tried a few different brands and find myself gravitating back to these. Good, well made and does the job.

These gloves are super warm, I immediately put them on while transitioning during ski touring and I'm actually able to take off my skins, get the helmet and goggles on, and do other tasks without taking my hands out of my mittens. They're been super durable so far. I normally wear a size M in other brands but I'm glad I went with L for these gloves.
