Tough, good gripping power

I bought 30 of these for a project and was impressed, given the low price, which was much lower than any others at the big box stores or online. I really like them and they have good gripping power.

For the price, an excellent light-duty clamp

Ironically after buying a pair of 5" Irwin Quick-Grip clamps at Lowe's for $12.98, I was in Walmart later the same day and saw these 4" HyperTough clamps. As inexpensive as they were, I couldn't resist buying 2 more for comparison to the Quick-Grip. The Quick-Grip clamps slide a bit more easily when adjusting, and the release lever is sturdier, made of metal instead of the plastic of the HyperTough clamps. But, where conversion of the Quick-Grip to a spreader requires a screwdriver to remove the end pad, the HyperTough provides a plastic wing-head screw that facilitates tool-free removal of the pad, so in this regard the design is friendlier to use. The plastic parts seem of reasonably good quality that I'd expect to hold up well for the light-duty use these small clamps are likely to be used for. Overall? For under $2 per clamp, buying these is pretty much a "no-brainer". If one breaks and confidence is lost in using them, they are a very small investment to try out before spending more for the Irwin Quick-Grip clamp.
