Litter Genie Cat Litter Disposal System Basic Refill.(4 pack)

I have been using these for years. I honestly can't imagine having a cat without using this system of litter disposal. That said, I have some observations: 1) this version of litter genie refills has become difficult to find. There's an updated version (maybe "jumbo" or "mega" in the name) they seem to be trying to force us to, but apparently (from what I've read) they're not compatible with all litter genie versions. I've had my current devices for 8 years, so I suspect incompatibility would be a problem. My cats are old now, so I don't want to replace devices (though I'm sure that's what the manufacturer has in mind). Seems like a poor way to treat long-time customers. 2) product quality seems inconsistent batch-to-batch. Sometimes they zip open as intended; sometimes, I have to use pliers and move slowly from perf to perf; sometimes, the plastic liner material seems very sturdy, other times it's virtually translucent. I imagine it depends on the subcontractor -- but shouldn't the company itself monitor? 3) shrinkflation has been a factor. There seems to be a lot less liner material per cartridge now than there was when I started using this product, and the cost has skyrocketed. That's not exactly an incentive for the cash-strapped consumer to keep using the product.
