Great book for building bond with sweetness

This is a great book. It looks into the special differences in a very small dog. I have a Papillon and I have come to realize that she is very reliant on a strong bond and constant relationship with me. Since I am at home I have the ability to give that personal attention to her. I am quite pleased at how smart and intuitive she has become by 1 1/2 years old. Not a hiking companion but loves walks, playing with toys and lots of cuddles. She loves the car and enjoys traveling. She is gentle and cooperative with all her grooming needs and loves other people when they come over. Little dogs are your 24/7 companions in life. She knows what I mean when I tell her "Mommy has to go someplace" and she immediately goes to her bed and cuddles in without complaint. She is so happy when I return and doesn't seem to have any separation anxiety. I started her out with a pen and I think it gave her a sense of safety. Later left the door opened and she felt safe in the house in her familiar place. The pen is good for a trip when we travel as it provides the familiar when I go out for a while. Since I have a doggie door that connects to a protected completely fenced in safe box that no critters can get into she is safe at home to go there if she needs to eliminate. She rings bells I attached to the slider door when she wants to go into the backyard to play. She wants me with her for those times and I have to admit I taught her to ring them but sometimes she rings them when she just wants to get me out of my chair and get engaged more. Sneaky girl.
