Accent Rug fits in well
The rug has a nice neutral color that fits in well around the house. The rug backing is "rubbery" enough so that it does not slip when placed on a tile flooring. It is comfortable to walk on. All in all fits in perfectly with the house and the decor.
Lovely rug
I originally wanted this rug because I thought it was actual sisal, it’s not it’s ‘a faux sisal look’. I wanted sisal because I planned to put it on my covered porch. I was surprised when I unwrapped it because it is SO SOFT. The rug itself is thin and extremely pliable compared to other rugs I have owned and currently own. It stated it is machine washable in a commercial front loading washer, but I haven’t tested that yet. It has what seems to be a non-skid backing, I didn’t have to put a rug pad under this to keep it from sliding around. When I opened it and saw the quality of this rug, I was kind of upset that I had nowhere inside to put it, but I think it will do ok on my porch since it is fully covered. I have had people take off their shoes at the door to feel how soft this rug is though, and everyone has loved it!
Better than Sisal
I love natural fiber rugs but hate the upkeep. Mainstay Faux Sisal Accent Rug is a perfect compromise. Made in the USA from durable 100% polyester, it is easy to clean, won't shed, or fray like natural sisal, and is machine washable. Weave is smooth and soft to the touch. Loop tufting adds a nice dimension (I do not have any pets, but loops and pet nails may be an issue) The color gray is a mix of soft warm and cool undertones. Darker gray borders add a nice finishing touch . The rubber backing keeps the rug secure even when vacuuming (use a high pile setting with no beater brush) Though I have not yet tried cleaning this rug in the washing machine, I have the peace of mind that I can. Although I must admit, in my opinion it does not have the look of sisal, the easy care and soft touch makes up for it.
