The rugs are very light weight and the shag seems to be made of 'feather-like' material as opposed to the usual carpet fiber, and I'm not sure how it will hold out over time. Also, to my shock - the rugs came folded and shipped in a 'plastic bag,' and the folds were a concern for me at first, but the rugs have only been lain for a few hours and already the folds are smoothing out quite nicely. Just by touching the surface of the rug, I can tell that a spill would prove disastrous, but I plan to avoid such a mishap. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the purchase.
