Great for bathroom shower/tub or entry door
It's basically like a towel with bound edges but just a tad stiffer. I like it as it stays in place, the door swings over it since it's low pile, absorbs water and my robot vacuum goes on it and cleans it without getting stuck. Also it's not something my dog likes to sleep on, which is good as then there is not hair on it. For a bathroom or by a front door it's great. I'd not recommend it for by the kitchen sink as there's no cushion.
