Much Better than R2 Basic

I had the basic R2 transmitter (the square one with the small buttons) that comes with a lot of the Flashpoint products. I loved the Flashpoint products but hated that transmitter. The buttons were way to small and required a lot of presses to adjust the flash settings. Not ideal at all. This MKII has a larger footprint but is WAY easier to adjust. I thought the Bluetooth was a gimmick until I was doing a real estate shoot and my camera was all the way in the corner (apparently I need a wider lens). As you can imagine, even this remote isn't easy to adjust with the tripod buried in the corner. In comes the Bluetooth functionality to save the day.

Works like a charm and TCM is awesome!

I got this trigger to replace the unreliable smaller version (X1TS) and this thing is amazing. So far I haven't got any misfires which is the main reason of my upgrade. It has a few redundant buttons but that's still way better than trying to find stuff on menus. As far as features, well it does what any other trigger is supposed to do, but the new TCM (TTL convert to Manual) is an awesome feature. Just set your Flashpoints to TTL, point to a gray card, shoot, press TCM, and it will convert the exact same output to Manual for consistent output saving you valuable time specially for location shoots. Very good product and highly recommended.

This thing really works!

Put it on the camera, turn it on, and it controls multiple lights. Instructions are minimal but also not really necessary. Just set the group/channel on the lights and make the adjustments on the remote. Literally took less than a minute to get up and running and after about 1000 triggers so far is working perfectly.
