Samyang Topokki Carbo Hot Chicken Bowl - Buldak Tteokbokki (179g)

Personally, I'd give it 3 stars but our daughter gives it 5 so we'll settle at 4. For me, the first few bites were ok but after a while it made me a bit queasy. Just the textures were off. It was very watery and the rice cakes were dense rubbery. Maybe I'm just not used to it. I'd buy it again for my daughter but I couldn't finish the meal. I do love the regular buldak ramen though. That's one of our favorites.

​I originally bought these because my daughter is obsessed with the Samyang Buldak flavors, and she was so excited to try this Tteokbokki version. According to her, the texture of the rice cakes is spot on and really chewy. She loves the Carbo flavor because the creaminess cuts through some of the heat, making it much more flavorful than just plain spicy. It is a little bit complicated to get the microwave timing exactly right to keep the rice cakes from getting too tough, but it has definitely become a regular request in our pantry now.
