Now I know..

This ink is necessary for printing fabric transfers and stickers/photos. I found that out the hard way trying to use the less expensive generic option which resulted in many failed prints that were way over saturated (see photo for comparison) and no adjustment to the settings could fix the issue. Swapped for canon ink and the problem disappeared immediately. Now I know, there is a difference between the OEM inks and off-brand. For printing paper documents, off brand is fine.. for anything like photos or high quality pictures on anything but plain paper.. go with the Canon ink.

Ink generally is expensive and it is hard to justify the prices for something so small but that is the price that it is. Wishing it was cheaper doesn't do much and Walmart's price was in line with the manufacturer so no real complaints here. I was able to use the ink for the project I had going on and Canon makes good products.
