Very easy assembly. I feel more secure that the children will not fall out vs when the hammock was hung up by tree straps. They still need to be supervised though. I have not attempted to take out %26 about so no comment on its portability

If you own an equip camping hammock whether it's a single person or two person this stand works perfectly. It sets up super straight forward and requires no tools for assembly which is great for bringing it along on any trip. Lastly it comes with a carry bag and covers for the harsher edges.
