I've only recently found out about threaded inserts. For years had problems with threading in thin material and having the screw pull out. With this tool and the proper sized inserts it's a snap. The insert tool is high quality and sets the inserts perfectly every time. Once you try it you'll look for reasons to put inserts in every project.

works great

Like most tool reviews, I have learned that people either do not read the instructions or the tool police should take the tools away before they break things. Have installed between 20 and 30 inserts so far and all have worked great. Wish I had found this sooner I could have fixed a lot more things that needed threads.

The perfect tool for this job

I went years trying to figure out how to reattach a broken window latch. This popped in a threaded insert and I screwed the latch back on. Done in a few minutes. I only used the tool once so I don't know how it will hold up to heavy use but it seems well built.
