I ordered this for a window unit air conditioner. For safety, I wanted this 12/3 heavy duty cord. The length will be fine for my purpose. I really like the lighted, clear plugs. When they're clear, you can see if it gets too hot and the plastic starts to be damaged.

Safety first…

It is recommended not to use extension cords for space heaters but if one must, this is cord is the recommend indoor appliance extension cord gauge recommended. My daughter has this particular cord on the space heater in her bedroom where she lives and it works remarkably well and does not get hot, so I just ordered this particular cord with the correct gauge , so that I can also use a space heater in my bedroom when I'm at her house.
