Women's Heavyweight Parka Jacket With Detachable Hood

I bought this coat, knowing it would be too big, so I could wear a sweatshirt under it when I take my doggie outside. I never thought it would be as warm as it is or as well made! The zipper is so sturdy and it fits just as I expected it to. Yesterday I discovered that the hood has drawstrings to secure it so it doesn't fall down! Here's the best part…the original price tag was marked as $215 and I purchased it for under $70! But the coat - you won't be sorry!

I'm so happy I took a chance on this parka. It's truly warm especially as I ride my medical scooter around town on errands in 30 something degree weather. It's very well made (I'm a sewist/seamstress/tailor) with strong well sewn seams. There's a sturdy inside pocket that's doubled fabric, not the sheer material you usually get in some coats. This pocket is so strong it's got a flap! I ordered the 2X and it fits perfectly even with my fleece Colombia vest worn underneath. The snaps on the front (attached to a long flap over the heavy duty zipper) are strong and stay closed. Only thing I have a very small issue with is that the detachable hood has a zipper but no snaps to keep the hood from unzipping if you're wearing it down and off your head. As you move it begins to unzip. So I'm just going to add my own snaps on both sides to keep it in place. It's very warm. Get yourself some good gloves to go with it.
