Goodbye old VHS tapes!

Like most people my age, I have a box of old home movies that I always meant to transfer to digital. I made some attempts with USB adapters, but was never happy with the results. This solution was exactly what I needed. It installed easily (read/download the instructions regarding the software & driver installation) and once set up, the default software settings made recording videos a breeze and I was recording right away. The quality is amazing. There are a lot of cable connections included, and the software has more features than I need, but it is nice to have them! I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review

Quality video capture

I got this capture from Startech for testing and I'm impressed with the quality of the video. I had couple issues with freezing but it was mostly because of my setup with multiple cards and after had it as a standalone card everything run smoothly. I do recommend this product and the price is fair with the quality you will get when you convert your old videos to digital or record a TV stream. “I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.”

Died when Flash died in December.

This was a great product for a few years, but the software was reliant on Adobe Flash. It stopped working after its end of life in December, which was announced back in 2017, giving device manufacturers and developers three years to convert to another software solution.
