Product details
For those of you who, like me, have exhausted every rationalised and offered understanding of life. The refreshing chill of the leather on this chair and the background base from the speaker continuously providing creative comfort is about as joyous as the completion of this book. Through the book I look through the mess and complex growth spirts I've taken to get here. I'm left with a deeper sense of being in the moment. The anxiety and un answered questions have been put to rest for me through this experience. I urge anyone feeling at an impass in life to make peace with the past and become balanced before tackling your next mission. As I mention in the book, lifes always changing and even since finishing these pages I'm in a different mindset about it, I could adapt and change it for the rest of my life but that would take away the authenticity. Its raw and real and flawed and thats perfect, because thats what lifes really like. If this is your first introduction to any of my work, this is the best place to start. The mindset and outlooks I have developed through life have lead me to starting my company Balanced Dreamers. This book is about where those teachings came from for me and why I would die behind the ethos. I don't believe your truly successful or happy until you find your balance in life. Whatever that means for you. In this human experience we find ourselves in its easy to escape into comfort and stagnation from fear and learned habits. This book isn't to kick you into action or guilt you into working harder. It's to find a place within yourself, your stable foundation that is unshakeable through whatever life chooses to throw at you. From there everything becomes not just a lesson or a struggle forward but a joyous existence no matter where you find yourself. Why did I write this book?Even now in 2020, 84 young men loose their lifes to suicide. Depression, addiction and mental illness being at the core of almost all of them. Where I live no one talked abot mental health apart from my mum who was a counsellor and almost devoted completely to it. I feel it needs to be as normal and as much in everyday life as coffee in the mornings. The truth is its not spoken about enough, its not funded enough and its not good enough at the moment. We should never have to loose a life from suicide, life is your greatest gift it needs to be celebrated and nurtured as such. This book will be used to grow awareness of mental health and health in general. I'm holding my hands up and telling you it was nearly myself in their shoes. Therefore my story and vulnerabilities are the least I can offer to help another deal with theirs. Im also holding my hands up and admitting I don't have all the answers amd I don't have the power or financies to change the world right now but this is a start. If everyone cultivated love and joy and healthy progression into their lives and spoke about their shortcomings the world becomes a more balanced abundant peaceful place. For me to look around and realise that everything around me was once exactly what I wanted it caused me to pause. For one reason I didn't fully remember how I had got here, it felt as though just yesterday I was someone who was on a downward spiral into addiction, depression and chaos. I wanted to make sure I knew what had changed I wanted to grasp it and give it to others. For the most part I just had to get it off my chest. If your like me then the amount of thoughts I go through even on a single day are powerful enough to change who I am completely. The learning curve I had been on for the last twenty five years had been a painful blur and if I could make someone elses journey less painful it would be worth the effort.
