Kichler Lighting - Shailene - 1 Light Wall Sconce - with Transitional

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had decided to install the Kichler Sharlene Wall Sconce into our walk in closet in the master bedroom. My wife had complained about the need for more lighting while preparing for an evening out. The additional lighting was placed next to a full view mirror so that she would be able to view her chooses while still in the master bedroom closet. She is very happy with this new installation and makes both of us enjoy or home more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although Kichler designed and ships the elegant and affordable Shailene 5" 1-Light Wall Sconce as a wire-in-wall system, I wanted to use it in a specific location as a plug-in light. By changing it to a plug-in light, I can also move it around from wall to wall or room to room if I decide to rearrange the furniture or the artwork on our walls. I had a friend who is a licensed electrician do the conversion, using a plug-in cord with an on/off switch in the cord. The light can be placed with the satin etched glass shade up to bounce a soft glow off the ceiling, which lights up the corner above my recliner and also highlights one of my favorite paintings without harsh glare. The light can also be placed with the shade down for more direct light toward seating and the floor. It is an elegant and useful addition to our home lighting and a top-quality light, worthy of the Kichler name.
