I live in a house that used to be a duplex. For whatever reason, the wifi signal just didn't reach to my bedroom. (My room is in the very back of the house, opposite the side the router is on) When I could get a connection, it was too weak to do anything. After purchasing this extender and having it plugged in fairly far away from the actual router...I get FULL wifi signal on all my devices and have yet to have a problem. The setup was very simple (obviously not for some), very quick and I couldn't be happier with this lifesaver of a wifi extender. I highly recommend it! A lot of times, the problem with a device is actually the operator of it. I think this may be the case with the ones leaving such negative reviews.
Great Product!
I was leary about purchasing this WiFi Range Extender after reading some of the mixed reviews. But I found it on sale for $25, and figured it was worth the "risk". Glad I bought it! I have a WiFi router in a building on my property and the range barely reached a second building (about 200' away). But in most of the second building, there was no signal. Bought this extender, and put it in the second building at the closest point and plugged it in. Followed the instructions, and within minutes was up and running. It has been about three weeks now, and am very happy with it. It broadcasts through most of the second building now. I have not tried to do heavy uploading/downloading, so I don't know if there is a significant drop in performance, but at least I have a connection now and am very happy with it.
