This is a really simple product but I really just adore it. The color is exactly what I wanted, not too dark but great for an everyday fall sort of color. The finish is what I love the most about it. It is matte, but it makes my lips look like they the color of this product, rather than looking like I am wearing a product on my lips. I hope that makes sense. It lasts for a while, not all day but certainly for 4 or 5 hours and through meals. It fades gracefully for the most part, rather than being patchy. I did have some fading on the inside of my bottom lip after eating though, but nothing terrible. As for the claim of being hydrating, well I would give it a B+. I have extremely sensitive lips and I did not find this uncomfortable to wear, like I do liquid matte formulas. I don't feel like it ADDS moisture to my lips however. It does play nicely with lip balms though. I can dab a bit of something over the top of this and it doesn't get nasty and separate, this does of course affect the matte finish and wear time.
Overall I really enjoy using this lip crayon and I would LOVE to see Hard Candy produce more colors, this is the only one of four that really appeals to me.
