This treatment is quick and easy to use. Simply pour PondTint directly into the pond. For best results, apply to clear water at the base of a waterfall or near aeration equipment in a pond or fountain to encourage quicker, more even distribution throughout the pond. One ounce treats up to 1,000 gallons of water. Apply as needed to maintain your desired color intensity. To control color, if the tint is too dark, wait several minutes after applying, then perform a 20% water change to achieve a more natural color. Wearing gloves during application is recommended to help prevent skin discoloration.

When used as directed, water treated with PondTint will not harm your lawn, gardens, landscape plants, pets, or aquatic animals such as fish, birds, and frogs. PondTint should not be used where chlorine is present.
