The one lure I always have in my tackle box.

This is the one lure I can always get fish to bite at, when nothing else is working. My favorite is "Horse Fly" and "Hornet" and "Bumble Bee" also work great. I work my way up into shallow coves (2-3 feet of water) that has 12-18" of vegetation. I work the Bee slowly above the vegetation keeping it less than 6 inches below the surface. If there is ANY fish in that grass, they will hit the Bumble Bee. It is also deadly fished near overhanging cypress and similar trees. Fish will hang in these areas waiting for insects to fall in the water. I have never had one fall apart like some of the other reviewers have indicated. (I have been through about two dozen of them in the last few years) I have had chain pickerel chew them up, but that's to be expected.
