This game is not only great for the kids, but if you get the hall of fame edition the parents will have flashbacks to childhood taking on skeletor's Army with he-man and the masters of the universe. The game is typically described as a tower defense, which I am NOT fond of. I enjoy a game where I can actually be involved with the action. So being able to set turrets and what not that operate automatically is pretty boring to me just waiting for them to either finish the job or fail. But this allows you to dive into the action with some third person shooting as well as controlling the turrets yourself, and yes the ones you place and don't control will do the auto attack thing. The game is great and an even better bang for your buck. Great game with plenty of things to do. Easily worth $20. I steered clear from this game series for a while until the first one became free through games with gold, and gave it a try and instantly loved the game. There are a total of 3 of these games, each of them offer different nostalgic gameplay. Original one, Toy Soldiers. Sequel, Toy Soldier:the Cold War and lastly Toy Soldiers: War Chest all offer very similar gameplay with differences in the character selection and weapon uses.
