Did not know I was purchasing a wood working project. The table is designed with two main blocks of wood (bottom and top) that anchor the folding legs and contain center hole for shade umbrella. When table was removed from the shipping box, a chunk of broken wood was found inside. Investigation discovered that the upper wood anchor block was essentially shattered (Broken on all four sides). As the upper anchor appears to be well protected, it is hard to see how it would have been damaged in shipment. In addition, one of the dowel pins used as stops for folding legs was broken off. Folding chairs appear sturdy. Hopefully they are. Too much of a pain to return. Repairing the table myself and moving on. From my experience, would recommend passing on this table unless comfortable with wood glue, clamps, and construction screws.
