The Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) is used to send input signals to the ECU to indicate the current angle of the throttle blade. Symptoms of a failing TPS sensor include: Erratic idle and improper throttle response. DON'T BE FOOLED your original TPS can be simply removed by notching the headless screws holding your old TPS on and unscrewing them with a flat head screw driver. Do not make the mistake of thinking your TPS is riveted to the throttle body they are just headless screws THAT CAN BE REMOVED. This TPS must be calibrated after install this can be done by probing the red and green wires from the sensor and turning the TPS clockwise or counter clockwise until you read .45 volts at idle.*See Fitment Guide for part number and to confirm this is the correct part before purchase
