Very tight - but I guess that is what you want in a shaper. I was looking for something that wasn't tight in the breast area but it was tight there as well. It had weird pads in the top that I immediately took out. That made it a little better but I still am going to return. It also had weird "puckers" in the body area. If your shirt lifted up, you would see that and it is not attractive.
