Instructions a little confusing but that might just be my problem. I struggle with allen wrench when full turn isn't possible. Everything went well and I could do it alone. Wouldn't advise that if you're not strong enough to hold it up while screwing clamp on to be safe. Clamp works great for my thick pole. I wish it tilted a little further down but it does state in description the degree of how much it will. It works great for me with existing pole I have attached to ceiling.
