Andrew Avelar is saddened by the sudden death of his great-grandfather, Guadalupe Robert Avelar. During the will reading, he inherits a journal which contains something so shocking, that neither he nor his family will be willing to understand. His great-grandfather's life as a cartoonist has been a huge cover-up. His great-grandparents were one of the greatest treasure hunters who ever lived.
