Superman was born on the distant planet Krypton before being rocketed to Earth as an infant, moments before Krypton's destruction. Discovered and adopted by a Kansas farmer and his wife, the child was raised as Clark Kent and imbued with a strong moral compass. He uses his superhuman powers for the benefit of humanity, and continues to operate under his alias as a reporter for the Daily Planet in Metropolis, USA.
